I am employed by The Social Enterprise Institute. Our mission is to promote the growth of social purpose businesses, primarily nonprofit organizations that are expanding their sources of earned income. I am interested in this conference because our work, like journalism, reaches into many fields of social development. Moreover, in our attempts to create new paradigms for philanthropy, we will need the media's help.
