A one-day interactive seminar drew more than 100 teachers, journalists, local and political bloggers, community videographers, public advocates and active citizens to Lowell, Mass., on Saturday, April 7 in the first event sponsored by the [http://test.newenglandnews.org New England News Forum.]

The New England News Forum kickoff was also the scene for the [http://www.lowelsun.com/front/ci_5622272 first faceoff] among candidates in the looming Massachusetts Fifth Congressional District special election.
