We have made a special arrangement with a limousine service to provide on-call pickup at the San Jose Airport for NewsTools2008 participants who want to be delivered to the Domain Hotel (a former Radisson Inn), at 1085 East El Camino Real, Sunnyvale CA 94087. The service will be available from 11 a.m. on Wed., April 30, until approximately 3 p.m. If possible, call to make a reservation before flight departure, and then call again when you are on the ground in San Jose. PARKING / TRANSIT UPDATE

The facilities Yahoo! has donated for NewsTools2008 include Wednesday afternoon/evening in their employee dining facility -- the "URL Cafeteria" -- plus several conference meeting rooms on Thursday and Friday. All are in Building C of the Yahoo headquarters complex at 701 First Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94089. All NewsTools2008 participants will have to be on a participant list to enter the building.

There is **almost no** guest parking at Yahoo itself (except on Saturday). For drive-ins, we are close to an arrangement for parking, a short walk from Yahoo, and right next to a light-rail/bus terminal. Bookmark this page for updates on parking, shuttle van and other transit options from the San Jose airport, from the Domain Hotel, and adjacent to Yahoo.

We definitely will run van shuttles from the Domain Hotel to Yahoo each morning and evening, and from 3:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

California Hwy 101 : From San Jose:

  • Take freeway 101 North and exit on Mathilda Avenue, take a right.
  • Continue on Mathilda to First Avenue.

California Hwy 101 : From Palo Alto:

  • Take freeway 101 South and exit on highway 237 east (Milpitas exit.).
  • Once on 237, take the next exit (Mathilda), and turn left.  
  • Continue to First Avenue. 

(If you miss the Mathilda exit, continue to Lawrence Expressway, make the loop and continue northwards.  This turns into Caribbean Way,  and leads to First Avenue.)
 

Hwy 237 : From Milpitas:

  • From either freeway 680 or 880 take highway 237 west to Caribbean Way.
  • Caribbean Way turns into Mathilda near First Ave. 
  • Turn right on First Ave.


Interstate 280:

  • Take the Lawrence Expressway exit, Going towards Santa Clara/Sunnyvale (or north)
  • Lawrence turns in to Caribbean Way after the 237 overpass.

  • Ride Caltrain to Mountain View, and take a VTA Light Rail Train to the Lockheed Martin Transit Center at Mathilda and Fifth Avenue. Yahoo!'s Sunnyvale complex is two blocks away, east of the light rail station.
