Pamela E. At TSU she motivates students by focusing on their journalism freedoms and responsibilities and has written extensively about administrators' unethical attempts at mandatory prior review in such articles as "Grambling Adviser Should Just Say No. Under Foster's advisement since 1998, Tennessee State University's The Meter student newspaper and Tennessean yearbook have won 105 awards in various competitions, including the HBCU best twice-a-week newspaper and best Web site, Associated Collegiate Press Online Pacemaker finalist and American Scholastic Press Association second-place yearbook.
