AGENDA FOR Saturday, May 3 -- SPJ at NewsTools2008

RETURN TO NewsTools2008 program
Today represents a joining of two rivers involving both journalists and technologists.
8:30 a.m. -- Project work continues
- Starting anytime after 8 a.m. in the Domain Hotel breakfast cafe (lobby level), reconvene conceive/design/build breakouts from Friday and select a comfortable venue to work around the hotel. These projects, initiatives and seedling companies can continue hacking, and talking.
9 a.m. -- The JournaTech Expo at the Domain Hotel
- Meanwhile, the [Northern California chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) opens a one-day Innovations in Journalism Expo and seminar. In the morning, individuals, groups, organizations and companies will use the Domain Hotel conference facility to "expose" their info-tech ideas to NewsTools2008 participants and SPJ one-day attendees. To register a JournoTech exhibit, email proposal details to jtm@mediagiraffe.org.

- At 3:30 p.m., SPJ, NewsTools and Expo participants will all gather for final briefings and next-step announcements from the NewsTools2008 project workers.
One-day registration available soon
NewsTools2008.org participants are automatically enrolled in the day's activities at the Domain Hotel; a one-day registration (including box lunch) for Saturday will be available soon from SPJ.
