Jeffrey Young has been with the Chronicle of Higher Education in many different capacities since 1994 and currently serves as web editor. He is the recipient of several awards and fellowships, including the Multimedia Reporting Fellowship from the Western Knight Foundation and the Science Laureate award for science and technology journalism from Purdue University.
