PRELIMINARY AGENDA FOR Saturday, May 3 -- the work continues

Purpose: Provide the time and space to:

  • Share concept/design/build results with others
  • Take the work further

Journalism That Matters collaborates with the Northern California chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists on a day-long JournaTech Expo. NewsTools2008.org participants are automatically enrolled in the day; a one-day registration (including box lunch) is available from SPJ.

To register a JournoTech exhibit, email proposal details to jtm@mediagiraffe.org.

8:30-9:00 a.m. -- Continental breakfast and networking

9:30-10 a.m. -- Morning announcements

  • Schedule/locate any design/build breakouts continuing from Friday
  • Announce names/locations within room of JournaTech Expo exhibitors

10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. -- Breakouts/expo underway

12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. -- Box lunch service/networking; SPJ keynote

1:30 p.m.-3 p.m. --- First SPJ panel breakouts

3:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. -- Snacks and networking

3:30 p.m.-5 p.m. -- Second SPJ panel breakouts

5 p.m. -- NewsTools2008 / SPJ ends.
