Teresa Styles bio

Teresa Styles, Ph.D. associate professor of journalism and mass communication at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, former chair of the department and former producer with CBS News in New York. As chair, hosted the first blogging conference to be held in the southeast at N.C.A&T in October, 2005. The conference is entitled Converge South. More information is available at www.convergesouth.com Styles credits at CBS include Peabody, Emmy and DuPont awards for documentaris in CBS Reports such as the "CIA's Secret Army" with Bill Moyers, "Teddy" with Roger Mudd, the "Defense of the United States" with Dan Rather and "Blacks in America" with Ed Bradley. Styles received the B.A. from Spelman, the M.A. from Northwestern University and the Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
